6 DIY Projects to Transform Your Outdoor Space
Weichert All Under One Roof
Hello!
After months of staying indoors, homeowners (and home buyers) are placing tremendous importance on beautiful, functional, private yards. If you’re planning to add value and usability to your property, consider these budget-friendly DIY ideas to enhance your patio, deck, or garden.
1.Build outdoor furniture out of discarded wood pallets and cinder blocks.
2.Bring new life to cast-away tables and chairs. All you need is a wire brush, inexpensive spray paint, and a little elbow grease.
3.Create a privacy screen from salvaged shutters, discarded windows, or fencing. You can even attach plants, to bring some extra life to the space.
4.Camouflage unsightly fencing with tall flowers, climbing vines or shoots, such as bamboo.
5.Build benches into the nooks of your patio or along the railing of your deck.
6.Make your own fire pit in one day and for less than $100! Visit your home improvement store for a few tools, a fire pit ring, some stone and masonry adhesive.*
If you’re looking for more details on these and other DIY projects, a simple online search will reveal dozens of how-tos. And if you want to learn more about the current local market and the relative value of properties in your area, give me a call. As a neighborhood expert, I’m always available to share my insight and support your real estate goals in any way possible.
*Follow all safety rules and guidelines from your homeowner’s insurance policy and local fire officials.
